In addition to his songwriting and vocal prowess, Jalan Crossland is a virtuoso on both banjo and guitar. “A Wyoming Treasure…” – Wyoming Arts Council
Crossland’s compositions reflect his life in tiny Ten Sleep (pop. 300). Wrote Michael Seagall in the New York Times: “He casts a sardonic but affectionate eye on the roughhewn lives of Western people.” When Crossland comes to town, expect illuminating demonstrations of the guitar and banjo, entertaining performances and a lively give-and-take with audiences.
In recognition for his contribution to the arts in Wyoming, he was bestowed with the Governor’s Arts Award in 2013.
